Snapic Plus Theme Harvest Record

Finally found a photo theme that matches my aesthetic, thanks to Lopwon.

Theme Name: Snapic Plus
Theme Author: Lopwon
Author's Blog: Lopwon.com
Theme Introduction: http://www.lopwon.com/snapic.html

This is an excellent Typecho theme.

The process of obtaining and using this theme is quite interesting.

One day, while searching for album-type themes online, I came across this theme, which instantly attracted me.
However, at that time, the new version had not yet been released, and the only downloadable version online was the old version shared by Lopwon.

I saw a QR code for appreciation, so I scanned it and appreciated xx yuan.
This was my way of thanking Lopwon for sharing the previous theme for free, and also an appreciation for finding a theme I liked.

I watched the demo of the new version for a long time and had many suggestions for modifications, so I sent an email to Lopwon's inbox with some of my suggestions, which was quite lengthy, while also inquiring about when it would be released and how much it would cost, hahaha.

Later, I received a reply from Lopwon, saying that because of my appreciation, he could give me a free copy of the theme after its release.

Ah, receiving such a reply made me very happy, and the theme was an unexpected gain, which surprised me at the time.
He also seriously responded to my suggestions and the reasons behind them.

Later, he sent me a test version that had not yet been officially released. After installing it, I found that the photos could only use local images.
After configuring remote image plugins, such as Youpai Cloud or Qiniu Cloud, the images did not display.

I emailed Lopwon again to inquire about this issue. He said that the original intention of his redesign was to create a theme that did not rely on any plugins, with all effects implemented based on the theme itself.

Well, Lopwon's idea is fine; it reduces a lot of unnecessary operations. However, this does not quite meet my needs.
Because I host many websites on my server, and the bandwidth is small, if all album images are local and the image sizes are too large, loading the images can be quite torturous.

So, I had to modify the theme files to change the image calls from local to remote.
The remote storage I often use includes Youpai Cloud, Qiniu Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud OSS.
Youpai Cloud can basically be used for free every month after joining the Youpai Cloud Alliance; real-name reviews are highly recommended.
Qiniu Cloud storage has already exceeded 10G, and although Alibaba Cloud OSS is useful, I have too many websites using it, and managing so many storage buckets is quite troublesome. Therefore, I want to use Youpai Cloud specifically for hosting my blog images and album photos.

After configuring Youpai Cloud, I modified the theme files, and it displayed normally.
At the same time, I set up the image processing function of Youpai Cloud, so when accessing the photo site, the images are loaded in webp format, greatly improving access speed.
I packaged the modified files and sent a copy to Lopwon to express my gratitude.
Lopwon continued to reply that the original intention of the theme was not to require any plugins, hahaha.

Then, I suddenly discovered that after adding a large cover image at the top, it could not automatically switch between mobile and desktop versions.
Forget it, I won't enable the top cover image; I'll make do with it and wait to modify it when the official version is released.

Finally, after waiting and waiting, the official version was released, and Lopwon quickly sent me the new version of the theme.
Then, I continued to modify it to support remote attachments.

After modification, it supports remote image plugins for Youpai Cloud and Qiniu Cloud.

Perfect, thanks Lopwon!
